After I shared the save the date and the formal invitation, I realised that the number of visitors for the opening night could be quite substantial. I want to encourage people to visit, stay and spend time, so I considered a picnic after the formalities and gallery walk.
I have also considered having a work where visitors can contribute—a nest to which one can add something. The idea can be that this nest relies on participants’ input to reflect on community building it. Participants will encouraged to add found objects (string/wire/grass/rope/ raffia/ or personal things by slipping them in between the weave of the nest.
